Principal's Message

Dear NCE Families,

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! After spending the previous year with our students, staff, and families last year, I have developed a deeper appreciation of the great community that supports our goals each year. Whether you are returning to Newport Coast Elementary or are new this year, it is sure to be a great year for everyone!

Here at NCE, we value diversity, engagement, and KINDNESS! Our mission is to build leaders who will change the world. This mission can only be accomplished through collaboration between our families and staff as part of a complete and robust learning experience. It is this partnership, with the help of NCE PTA and NCE School Foundation, that our Coyotes have opportunities for enrichment such as STEM lessons in our Coyote Creation Station and development of an appreciation for the arts through Art Masters and Class Act music enrichment. As we begin the year, I hope each student is inspired to try something new and to reach for greatness!

In partnership with the Newport-Mesa Unified School District and the Orange County Department of Education, we will be working together to further develop and refine our PBIS practices at NCE. At Newport Coast, our Coyotes HOWL! They are Honorable, Organized, and Wise Leaders. Throughout the year, you will hear about HOWL Cards and the outstanding Coyote Store, as well as different recognition opportunities for HOWLing students. We encourage you to talk about these expectations with your child, as well as set these same expectations for your child at home as well. When we work together as a team, our students thrive!
