Congratulations to the 5th Graders!  Throughout the school year, we have been working hard to raise money for the Make-a-Wish foundation. We did a coin drive in each of our classrooms and we also put boxes in the multipurpose room and the office.  Many students contributed to these boxes but others also went out of their way to do extra projects to raise money.  Some students sold lemonade while others stood outside their gates in their communities with big signs asking for help.  Many students also worked at the 6th grade play to make a wish come true. Some students even saved their allowances all year to help our cause. Newport Coast students even wrote letters to Santa and Macy's donated $1 for every letter written - we wrote 600!  We are proud to announce that we raised $3,454.23!!!  This money will go along way to Make-a-Wish come true!  The 5th grade teachers are very proud of all of our students and their efforts to help a child in need.  Thanks also go out to all the students at Newport Coast and their families who gave so willingly to make a sick child's life better!  Congratulations to Newport Coast for banding together to make a difference!!

With the help of the PTA, we are very happy to have started a consistent recycling program at our school.  We fill the recycling dumpster every week with paper, and the money we make towards recycling plastic bottles is benefiting our school as well as the environment.

Easy Tech at Home

Easy Tech is now available to use at home.  Easy Tech is an online, interactive web site that teaches technology skills in a fun way.  For the summer the entire school is using one generic account.  It has over 100 lessons that teach skills for grades K-6.
